Alex Gibson is an artist who grew up in Melbourne, Australia in the 1980s and 1990s. He is inspired by the cyberpunk cultural movement and the rise of computing, which led him to explore the connections between technology and art. Synthscape is a collection of Australian Impressionist landscape paintings of the Yarra Valley as imagined by the artist in collaboration with various generative artificial intelligence algorithms.
